Yesterday, on October 26th, Italy once again paused for a moment of unity — to celebrate the olive tree, the timeless symbol of life, peace, and resilience.
The 9th National Olive Tree Walk (Camminata tra gli Olivi), organized by the National Association of Olive Oil Cities (Città dell’Olio), brought together more than 150 towns and communities across the country — from Puglia to Liguria, from Tuscany to Veneto.

This year’s theme, “Designing Peace” (Progettiamo la Pace), carried a powerful message.
In a world often marked by tension, the olive tree stood once more as a bridge of hope and dialogue. Across Italy, each participating municipality and olive oil producer planted a new olive tree — a living, tangible gesture of peace.
🌳 A new olive tree in our garden
We at Tuscany Olive Garden were proud to take part.
Yesterday morning, surrounded by golden hills, soft sunlight, and birdsong, we planted our own olive tree. Its roots reached into the Tuscan soil, its small silver leaves trembled gently in the breeze — and for a moment, there was an almost sacred stillness.
Planting this tree felt like a promise — a small seed of hope for the future, and a reminder that peace, like nature, grows through care and patience.
The day was more than a walk through the countryside — it was a celebration of culture, community, and authentic Italian flavor. Guided paths led through ancient olive groves, local mills opened their doors to visitors, and we tasted the season’s first freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil — vivid green, fragrant, and full of life.
🕊️ Step by step
The Camminata tra gli Olivi invites everyone, year after year, to slow down, to reconnect with nature, and to rediscover the deep harmony between people, the land, and the olive tree.
This time, more than ever, we felt the quiet strength of its message — that every olive tree carries within it a wish for peace.
As we looked at our newly planted tree, we knew it represented something greater than itself. It is a living bond between our roots and the earth, a silent but powerful reminder that peace — like the olive tree — takes time, care, and light to grow.
🌿 A sip of nature, a moment of peace
We are grateful to everyone who took part in this special day — and to those who joined in spirit from afar. Our new olive tree has now found its home here at the Tuscany Olive Garden, and in every leaf, we like to believe, a little piece of peace is growing.
